Simple legal Solution to Tubes, download sites, etc

It's all taken care of with one simple legislative act.

"You are responsible for what is on YOUR url"

someone uploads something to your url - you are responsible.

linking is ok (limits on the usual terror, animal, kiddy, etc but that falls back to the statement, if you link to illegial and KNOW about it, you are responsible). hotlinking is ok - why? cause the person being hotlinked can BLOCK it.

nothing wrong with tubes so long as they have legal content.

don't you think a tube site that spends 500k a month on hosting can afford to spend a couple hundred on content..

if a tube site ever loses a lawsuit, this will be the first thing thats done imo..

people just need to realize that tubes are here to stay.. :2 cents:

I'm guessing Google might put up a pretty good fight against that.

How is going with your tgp?

That's great if you don't mind myspace, facebook, youtube, etc all going out of business.

I'm sure they'll have no problem pushing this law through congress so they can help the porn industry.

But those old, recycled, non-exclusive scenes are not what keeps the surfer coming back. Especially when all the tubes have to buy the same content.

Not to mention, this is a still somewhat of a free market. Content is cheap now because people are giving it away. If this hypothetical situation comes true and tubes HAVE TO buy content, the price will shoot right back up.

But I think original post is probably not the answer and you would kill all user generated content sites like twitter and myspace since the liability would just be too high.
