Honestly the ease of itunes on the iphone has cut back on my music downloads.. I don't think I've opened limewire in 3 mos..

You have to be somewhat intelligent to use LimeWire safely. I have never yet gotten a virus with it (to the best of my knowledge). I carefully examine each item of interest before starting the download. Select to show as many fields as possible with relevant information such as file type, size, length (for music and vids), bit rate, etc. Many viruses and other undesired items will have missing any of those fields, most often "length" or "bit rate". Also pay attention to file size in ratio to it's length and see if it makes sense. If any of the items are missing any of my important fields or it's file size does not make sense, i will not download the file.

Also note that lately the first 2-4 results listed up top are all fake/virus, this happens especially often when you requested an uncommon name in search.
