Has anyone here been to the Phillipines? I'm going next week for work...any advice?

I'll be in Baguio City and Manila and I'll only be there for about 5 days...its a short business trip.
Im just wondering how much money I will need to get around if I wanna do a little shopping and maybe go out to a couple of bars or something?
Is there anything I should look out for? Is there anything should see?
