Yes it is very sad, these kind of things are not reported in the mainsteam media so they dont get much attention but it goes on, When I lived out in SA I saw some pretty bad things but nothing as bad as that, Us humans can be so bloody cruel and think nothing of it.

I lived out in SA from the age of 2 until we went back to the Uk just before my 18th birthday

I loved the place and I know its not as fucked up as Kenya but yeah I saw some pretty nasty shit, The trouble is, is when you actually live in a country like SA you dont realise how bad it actually is, I thought is was the "norm" because I was so young when we went over there. It wasent until I came back to the UK I realised what a fucked up place we were living in. One thing that I couldent get over for a long time was seeing policemen without guns over here in the UK

I know that there are some species of animals that will kill not only for food but as you say for dominance and probably for several other reasons as well but I am not sure that they derive the same twisted pleasure that some people do from killing. Im pretty sure we are the only ones that have taken killing ones own species to the extent we have.

Chimps will sometimes kill other monkeys or their own species and eat them, but humans are the "kings" when it comes to killing each other out of spite, anger, pleasure, wars, ect. It makes you wonder who the animals realy are in this world.
