What kind of info can cops pull up about a person in the US?
I was just curious what kind of info a cop can pull up about a person in the US. Me and a buddy were discussing what is available to the average patrol cop on the street. Other than warrants or what not, do they have access to your entire life? (i.e. misdemeanor court cases, marital status, truly personal shit).
I say no, he says yes. There is probably a better place to ask this but I was just curious first hand is someone knew? |
depending on what you mean by 'personal shit', a lot of that is and could be considered public record.
i doubt they'd be readily available, but wouldn't be very difficult to pull up |
Criminal back ground, wants and warrents. thats about it.

I hate fucking dogs/cops !!

they probably don't have access to much info at all...

I'm only guessing here but I'd say he pretty much has your criminal record only.

Good question, I always wondered this same thing.. if a cop is running my license does it show in plain view on his computer my misdemeanor weed charge? Would be nice to know so I know what he knows and know how he is going to treat me..
