I am just curious, based on non-talent, industry circle of friends....

How many people would you say the average male, versus female sleep with in their life time?

I am thinking males, 50-100, females, 15-30.

The actual number is 7-10, according to most studies I've read.

Also, keep in mind what "average" means... the average for men and women, considering only straight sex involving 2 persons, is by definition the same. The median will probably differ hugely, though.

50-100 sounds kinda high for the average guy.. now if you mean the average guy in this biz sure.. I would say 30-60 for the guys. the female number sounds about right

I'm sure there are many girls that only sleep with 3-5 guys in their lifes but there are enough bar sluts to make your 15-30 sound about right :1orglaugh

I second the 7-10 average. That's what I've read anyway. And for fucks sake, I've never met an average man who's number is in the triple digits.

why is it if a guy sleeps with a lot of girls hes a player, but if a girl sleeps with a lot of guys shes a slut?

Most of the guys I know (who aren't in this business) probably average 20 or so. But then, a lot of the guys I know have zero game.

Most of the girls I know have already been with 10 guys by the time they're 25-years-old.

I'm not the best at math but is it even possible that the average female sleeps with 15 guys in her life and the average guy with 50 women?

Sure, why not? In my experience (from talking to people and reading about it) most of the partners are racked up when people are in college.

Two things to keep in mind.

First, these are necessarily old numbers. Polling lifetime totals for people in their 20s, 30s or 40s would be rather pointless, since they obviously have no idea what those will be yet. So, the numbers are based on past generations.

Second, lots of people are "serial daters". And while serial daters might have lots of sex, their number of sexual partners is usually fairly limited.

also, you can't really talk about averages here.... because the question "how many sexual partners in life" can be only answered by those who won't have any partners anymore

I mean, the question makes no sense if you ask 25-year olds.... they might have had 5 partners and have 1 more in future or 30 more...

No, it's not.

The main reason "averages" between men and women tend to differ in studies is that sex workers aren't usually polled for this sort of thing. Since quite a few men have sex with prostitutes, that boosts the outcome for men. Aside from that, men tend to exaggerate their numbers, while women tend to downplay them.

also you have to take into factor the "I only go down on guys cause I'm saving myself for marriage" girls or my favorite girl that I have yet to meet.. "I only do anal cause I don't wanna get pregnant" :1orglaugh

As for your question - I think the 30/100 ration probably isn't too far off as an actual number, when one accounts for standard deviation/ Wilt Chamberlain/ nuns.

There are those who will marry their high school honey and never sleep with anyone else, and there are those who live a much freer sexual life. Serial monogomists probably make up the bulk of the figures, I would think -- I'd be curious what the average number of relationships had by a person is, also.

Of course and will always be heavily debated. To me intentions are way more important than numbers.

Between a guy sleeps with 10 girls but lies and tells them that he loves them ect to get them into bed and a guy sleeps with 100 girls but did it honestly, letting the girl know he wasn't interested in a relationship ect I would have more respect for the guy with the higher number.

As for the ladies. To me if a female sleeps with 10 guys based on the criteria of, what can I get out of this guy if I have sex with him, shes a whore. If a female sleeps with 100 guys but does it because she likes sex and is just having fun (like men like to do) then I don't judge that person.

The girl I've started seeing recently has only been with three guys including me...she's number 21 for me, which I actually find rather embarrassing, especially since she is actually older than I am. It is hard to average how many sexual partners men and women have because the numbers are all over place depending on the generation. I think in past generations men had more sexual partners than women, However I think it is the opposite now. I think women can openly say they want sex now... and it is much easier for a women to get laid than a man.

Depends on industry vs non-industry. Industry I would say your numbers are good. Non-industry I would say men 6-10, women 7-15.
