Hole in the Wall Falls. (PIC)
"Hole-In-The-Wall Falls is a 100-foot waterfall on Warren Creek in Starvation Creek State Park, Hood River County, Oregon, United States. Its main drop is 60 feet. It was created in 1938 when Warren Creek was diverted through a tunnel (hence its name) to prevent washouts of the Columbia River Highway." ~Wikipedia
Approx 55 miles East of Portland, OR in the Columbia River Gorge. Another cold and rainy day in the Pacific Northwest but I had the need to break in the new camera. :) Between the downpour on the round trip hike and shooting from the middle of the stream, I was soaking wet. Didn't bring any dry clothes or even a towel so I ended up driving home in my underwear rather than wearing soaked jeans in the car. :pimp Now, to get that visual out of your mind....... Not so much. I was being careful to not step in puddles and so forth. I shot from the creek because that's the view I wanted. I've been known to get fairly wet while shooting waterfalls. http://ampcontent.com/pics/InTheWater001.jpg http://ampcontent.com/pics/InTheWater002.jpg |
