Hole in the Wall Falls. (PIC)

"Hole-In-The-Wall Falls is a 100-foot waterfall on Warren Creek in Starvation Creek State Park, Hood River County, Oregon, United States. Its main drop is 60 feet. It was created in 1938 when Warren Creek was diverted through a tunnel (hence its name) to prevent washouts of the Columbia River Highway." ~Wikipedia

Approx 55 miles East of Portland, OR in the Columbia River Gorge.

Another cold and rainy day in the Pacific Northwest but I had the need to break in the new camera. :) Between the downpour on the round trip hike and shooting from the middle of the stream, I was soaking wet. Didn't bring any dry clothes or even a towel so I ended up driving home in my underwear rather than wearing soaked jeans in the car. :pimp Now, to get that visual out of your mind.......

Don't feel too bad, the first shot is filled with water spots from the rain hitting the filter. :disgust

There's a faux method that only requires one pic instead of 3, but in my expirements with it, the pic needs to be ideal for it to work.

I don't think it will work on that pic, but you probably have a lot more options if you want to try it. The pic of the falls is pretty sweet as-is anyway. :thumbsup

Not so much. I was being careful to not step in puddles and so forth. I shot from the creek because that's the view I wanted.

I've been known to get fairly wet while shooting waterfalls.

Good point. I wouldn't risk my 40D in the middle of that much water. Double that if I was shooting with something more expensive.

That day earned me a $400.00 rusty tripod. Money well spent when compared to the camera.. :)
