Google Latitude - What happened to Privacy?

Why is everyone doing this? Do people really care where their friends are at all times?
I guess it's good for your kids or even your pets :1orglaugh but come on.

First Twitter telling people you don't even know what you are doing and now a location to go with it. Too Much!!!

not sure about, getting scary, google knows way too much about people as is..

marketsmart 04-13-2009 12:34 PM

its awesome because you can set it to private or manually set your location..

the last is the best because i can go fuck some hooker and set my location to the mall..

I checked the Google street view of my address the other day and they have me...it's pointing right to my window. I live in a fairly small city, so they must be going around getting everything now.

I don't like it. I don't think this information needs to be given out freely to everyone.

One would think with all of our laws there would be some kind of law out there already that prevents companies from taking and displaying pictures of someone's home, without their consent, while making a profit.

I agree.
They capture people walking on sidewalks, playing in their yards, people in cars. Pretty Bad.

We left privacy behind the day everybody started to use Windows buddy

I'd imagine it's getting harder and harder for people to cheat on their spouses.

Why is this. Anyone could see the same thing if they wanted to. It is in public view.
Perhaps it just is the ease of access by others that has some concerned. Then again like I said anyone could get the same photos anyways and actually a lot more if they wished either personally or by hiring someone, where at least google does respect actual private property it seems. I say this of course because I have seen several gated or private communities that do not have street views.

Billionaire 04-13-2009 07:23 PM

Yes it's public view privately held moron
