Ironically, your more advanced mac users, we don't even use the Dock. Quicksilver in Tiger and now with Spotlight being so fast it has basically replaced Quicksilver.

To launch an app I use CMD+Space and start typing the first few letters. Never use the dock except to display relevant information about my open apps (e.g. how many new messages over the Mail icon).

Yeah, rocketdock is what I've been using for a while now. They've done some great work with it.

I don't see why anyone would want to use that... what exactly is wrong with the Task Bar? Quick Launch works just fine.
