    Yay I got my first hatemail! How should I respond to this guy?

    My site was free for a year and now i started charging for some of the more popular features.
    this email is from a member, this is what he wrote:

    fuck you ! you are an asshole for all of a sudden wanting me to pay for features on this site that i've been getting for free for the last year ! what kind of shit is that ??!! fuck u & fuck your site ! i'll never be using it again !! as a matter of fact i hope it tanks ! so thanks for nothing u stupid useless son of a bitch !

    Its pretty funny. Most of you have better responses than I can think up. So how would you respond?

                      ahhh... I used to get fan mail every day when my site was free... read something like "dude, i wanted to write you and let you know that you are the best fuckin thing that hit the internet..."

                      that did change when I made it a paysite... now I don't get any more thank you emails

                          Seriously... there are people that think everything in life should be free. There is nothing you can do with them. No use arguing either.

                                                                                          I have noticed from a few small group sites l run that when you change them from free to pay it really causes mayhem no matter how small the charge ! .

                                                                                          Maybe thats why a lot of the social networking sites such as Facebook,Twitter and even Craigs List are reluctant to try even a minimal fee ?

                                                                                          From my small set up some left,some complained but at the end of the day now it at least has paying members.
