Video guys...Quesiton about watermarking
What is the best way to get a sharp watermark on a video using premier?
Right now I am importing a png which looks great but when I play the video it then get's a bit blurry and then becomes hard to read any tips? thanks |

Import the .psd not the .png You can go larger and scale it down to the size you want in premiere.

yeah just import the high quality .psd
you can even modify the changes in photoshop and get preview in premiere |
try to use vegas!!

The trick is not to add the watermark on the timeline in the editing app because then you have to export or encode and re-size the video for the end users which results in a slightly less crisp watermark. You are better off adding the watermark in your third party video encoding app like Sorenson Squeeze or Videocharge when you encode the video to the finished format like WMV, Flash etc, and size the watermark at the exact size that you need it.

Do your watermark in after effects with your imported premiere timeline direct to output format... Much better overall result.

I find it easier just to put my watermark on my flv player. :D
