Eh, these kind of people won't listen to a word of reason.
You have to let these babies make their own mistakes and come to their own realizations.
Most people are like that.
So just nod, smile and you'll know in your head going into it that it's doomed for failure for reason A, B or C.

And then your friend will come after the breakup and relate all of the knowledge you knew prior. Just nod, smile, be sympathetic and be a good friend when this happens.
