It will get kicked to the curb as soon as Microsoft dies, or perhaps when Google releases GoogleOS pre-packaged with Chrome (that supports FF plugins). Windows 7 with IE8.1 is coming soon.

I, myself, surf with IE, and develop for IE. If it works in IE, it'll work nearly everywhere.

Yes - I find it works well for windows updates on my windows boxes. Otherwise I use firefox on OS X.

been using Chrome lately. but still check a few things in IE

Develop with .net, so I've always used IE. Also have FF for checking how things look with other browsers. Need to say IE8 tends to display page much the same as FF does, needed to change a few things to display right in IE8, mainly some javascript.

IE8 does seem a bit bloated and slow though...

I don't think many users are using IE by choice, but just because it came with Windows.

I use IE, I perfer to see my sites how the 68% of my visitors do. :) I do cross check with FF but thats the extent of it.

Making the switch to Chrome after my partner has indicated how much faster it is for her. Don't need bells and whistles, just speed so I can get more shit done!

Me here too. Sometimes sites just don't show up well in firefox or i have some plugin that blocks certain streaming vids that I have to view in IE or opera or chrome.

I actually read an article yesterday that said Firefox now has about 27% of the browser market. So you would assume once you add in Chrome and Opera and Safari are IE probably has around 60% or more.

I just use it for debugging, in fact I use the IETab extension on my beloved FF. =)

Most of us check with IE to see how the site looks in it, I guess question was who use it as their main browser
