Who's been to Cuba?

I've been hearing a lot of news about Cuba lately.

Do you think it will ever become possible for USA people to easily buy a place or land there?

Ozarkz 04-07-2009 10:28 AM

Cuba is great.

Go to Cuba from another country and leave the resorts have a taxi driver take you around and show you the real Cuba.

Was down for a week in a resort near Santiago. Che Guivera country.

Food was very bland, yet there was wild oregano growing outside the restaurant. :(

Beaches were lovely. People were great. Met with some people who were veterans, and they introduced us to the lobster poachers so we got a great feed for $5.

Went into the nearby village. Many people had Hilton quality places inside and shacks outside.

It was popular for the women seeking gigolos. Some Russian guys tried to get some local hotties into the resort, but they bribed the wrong guy. They had to go rent a room in village. The girls were hot!

Heavy military presence at the airport.

Great country. I can't wait until they make it ok to go there again.

I go at least once a year. It's cheap, the women are gorgeous and I can honestly never say I've had a bad time. I'm Canadian though so It's a lot easier for me to visit than an American.

Wow you had a horrible experience.

Based on that and being American i'd say forget it not worth it.

I'm sure the way you look didn't help they are very judgmental. I dunno if coming from Panama had anything to do with it.. It's a popular tourist destination for daring American college kids..

When I was there I was told nobody would fuck with me BECAUSE I was a tourist and nobody did.

I also made friends with a Taxi driver that basically took me and the 2 people I traveled with everywhere we needed and got rid of the cops when they stopped us.

I went to gitmo (gtmo srry) a few times myself but only as a contractor/civilian. The first time I went I didn't know anything about the place and ended up staying at the hotel (believe it was called the bachelors quarters) on the airport side and had to take the damn ferry every morning and night. The next few times after that I stayed in the Navy Lodge right on Sherman ave. Had to take the school bus everywhere to, fucking rental cars where on back order for years. Oh the memories...
