he's an idiot for suggesting we start dropping nukes and stop making new ones... im all for dropping some old rusty nukes for some new ones though.

It's not like "any" country, including ours, will 100% remove all nukes. Anyway, I say remove them all, remove nuc power plants while you are at it.

These types of weapons do nothing to protect us any longer.. they are outdated, not needed, and overly dangerous to keep, produce, or deal with the waste on. It is FAR more dangerous simply having and producing them here - than the actual threat of EVER being attacked by a missile with a nuc on it.

They are not the most powerful weapons we have anymore, they aren't the most dangerous but they are to keep, and they can't be controlled (at all) like new weapons can.

How about the financial disaster we are in that is aiming to further bankrupt our country. It doesnt matter who is in office, the stories would be the same. Dont get me wrong, im all for getting rid of nukes, despite the fact it will never happen. Dont get me wrong, i really hope Obama is for the people, despite the fact he has went back on a ton of shit he promised during the election.

Whatever he does, if it's nuc stuff, or whatever it is - does it really take 'your eye' off the ball? Of course not, just like it doesn't take anyones eye of the real problems of our Country - but people do understand the President's JOB is dealing with ALL the bullshit - not just one problem that he truly has no power over.

Maybe he is trying to stop more financial issues, and money being spent.. Peace sounds like a great way to help stabilize our spending, spending less Gov money on shit we don't use and will never use, is a great idea. The gov not paying billions for waste management, dealing companies that don't handle toxic crap correctly, and so much more... would be a killer idea for spending less in the 'correct areas' of Gov.
