that sounds like a plan. How many adult companys are gonna join this lawsuit?

as a whole im sure visa makes good coin using this scheme , but for you to actually get much money back you would have to have a SHITLOAD of chargebacks, this sounds more like a lawyers idea to make some easy coin :)

Good point not to mention your relatioship with Visa might suffer.

I can't remember now where I read, or had heard it. But I was told that in the case of CCB (although I am sure the others do it also) they fight EVERY charge back, and often times win.

However, the client does not get that money returned on reverse.

This lawsuit accuses Visa and a group of its member banks of defrauding one or more U.S. merchants through a scheme involving chargebacks on foreign-issued credit cards. According to the complaint filed in this case, these chargebacks were performed by Visa using exchange rates tied to dates after cardholders' fraud claims, on dates when the dollar had weakened with respect to the foreign currency in question. The dollar amounts of these chargebacks were therefore greater, in U.S. dollars, than the amounts of the original transactions. The allegations in the complaint would equally apply to any other major credit card company involved in a similar practice.

These days, there is a profession looked down on, thats worse than that of a car salesperson or even a lawyer. Its the banker.

The only people who benefit from class action lawsuits are the lawyers....on both sides.

It always pissed me off that Charge Backs are a profit center for the credit card companies.

You can't put contact info on someone's statement... So they call the CC company and they say, "Oh, no problem, I'll take that right off." And then charge the merchant.

Or when you challenge it.. and they say, "If you challenge again it'll be $500 processing fee"


We do probably 2-3 chargebacks a month... for the last 4.5 years.. and $35-$50 a pop for the fee.. Which is normal for phone sex....

I wonder if I should contact these people.. or do you think it's a sham?
