Any Collectors here ??? Toys/Games/sports etc

Does anyone here collect anthing like vintage toys, games, sports memorabilia etc, either as a hobby, or as a way of making some money ??

I've been doing a bit of research lately on some stuff and just checking a few things out. I have a few bits n' pieces around here, nothing that will probably amount to anything of great value just now, but i intend of having them many years yet so who knows what value they could end up having.

I found a couple of Ebay sellers who have some pretty neat stuff aswell. Boxed/Carded vintage figures (star wars etc), stuff like that at pretty decent prices. Might add a few things to my collection.

What's the best websites for info on places to buy, storage, value and any hints and tips in general ?

:pimp

Sports memorabilia has seemed to have dropped off.

Toys are the things to collect for money these days.

Yeah, that's how i see it now. Some of the prices things are going at just now are crazy.

Wish i had kept some of the stuff i got rid of for cheap at a car boot sale a few years ago. Don't know what i was thinking... :Oh crap

Even new "Asian" "designer toys" are very collectible and go up in value incredibly fast. Like Kid Robot stuff..

I did for a lot of years, but more for personal enjoyment than anything else. After a while though my collection got so big I had to sell a lot of stuff off. Eventually I got more into bobbleheads (I know, weak, but I couldn't help myself) and collectible statues. If you want to buy some really amazing statues that always seem to go up in value check out http://www.sideshowtoy.com/...

My brother has a ROOM full of toys but most of it is nothing special.

been collecting retro video games for years. started just picking up boxes full of old atari games at garage sales, turned into a fullscale mountain of carts and consoles, with a fait number of rare titles from ebay. the retro game collecting market reallytook a dive a while back though as far as prices were concerned. good for me! bad for anyone who was trying to make cash off it.

I got old stamps and old stamps on old envelopes with their original letters in them... Some even from the 1800's I think.

Edit: I have no idea why I save these.
