a day i go without spending some time in the garden and looking at nature is a sad one.

every morning when i let the dogs out in the backyard i step into a jungle of things naturally growing and planted.

i have always stopped to look at the flowrs and nice pic.

i put my banana peels around the base (covered by soil) of all our roses, and it works wonders as natural fert.

i freeze them all winter and use them in soil during planting too :)

I was reading to cut back to the first 5 leaf part underneath the dead or dying rose..

Only 5 leaf prunes will produce another rose later that year... 3 leaf prunes will wait til next :)

I've been there. 10 years ago in fact. Beautiful. Oregon is such a beautiful state. One of the best road trips I've taken.

Yea it is! My mother lives like an hour from Crater Lake... So I'm about 2 hours then...

Went up during the winter... The drive around was closed off due to snow so I just got those shots form the cabin :thumbsup
