hey.... I didn't say anything bad about mongoloids... in fact, I suggested that you help one of them out by offering some employment rather than buying the cat door.

so why am I an asshole?

leopards? who the hell is talking about leopards! i wanna know if anyone else thinks this cat door thingy is cool or worth the sixty bucks!

ps: all men are assholes. didn't you get the memo?

Amputate Your Head 11-22-2002 02:21 AM

well... that thing looks like it goes in a window... not sure how the cats gonna get in and out of a window door thing.... but they make a long stand up version that goes in a patio slider door.... I was gonna get one, but now I don't have a cat so I guess I don;t really need it....

those are nice, but they're alot more expensive.... more like $199 for the patio slider model.

If you are a cat lover be real careful about deciding to give them that much freedom. I used to have 4 cats, after 3 died of old age, all within about 6 months of each other, the last one left was freaking out here without them, so I let a friend of mine keep him at her house to get a new environment for him and she let him roam the backyard at his leisure. He started hanging out in the neighbors yard where this cooty old lady lived I found out later. The lady seeing the cat hanging out so much thought it was a stray and then took my cat to a pet adoption group and they adopted it out. After him not coming home the following day, my friend was besides herself and then started asking around the neighborhood and tracked it down to this lady and she said the cat was coming over to her yard so much she thought it was a stray. I called the lady and explained the situation and she started going into a lecture about how declawed cats should not be allowed loose. Then she got an attitude with me when I said ok that's your opinion now please tell me where you took my cat and she wouldn't tell me. I even had the police go to her house and she wouldn't tell them and the cops said there was nothing they could do since we had technically let the cat roam the neighborhood. Despite my search and pleas to this cooky old woman its been a year since I've seen my last cat. She did finally say he was in a good home though.

" i wanna know if anyone else thinks this cat door thingy is cool or worth the sixty bucks! "

.. just leave the window open and save the money. question answered ?

mr head, i don't have a patio/sliding door. i have wooden front/back doors i cannot alter because i rent my duplex. that slinding door thingy is cool. i've seen it on drsfostersmith.com. i think this particular product might be the only one of it's kind for my needs.

KRL, i've owned cats for almost thirty years. i know that pets come and go and i think they deserve the chance to enjoy the outdoors as much as they possibly can. i've lost some. i've adopted some. i've loved all of them.

funkmaster, leave the window open? do you have any idea how cold it gets in west texas?

Just buy your own damn door and cut it. when you move out put the old door back.

well, that would be a solution but altering a window is far less expensive than buying a door and the tools to alter it eh?

I think I found the best deal for the best price. Thank you all for your input.

Bro your cat became crazy lady soup

Remember that not only your cat can come and go so can everyones elses cat! Hope your kitty doens't decide to bring a friend hope.

Also how secure would your window be after putting that in? Wouldnt' someone be able to break in easily? I have two cats and they both stay indoors. Indoor cats have a much longer life expectancy than cats that go outside.

... I thought you may fall for it, so I can come and sneek in tonight. I am sure the cat won´t mind ...
