Vancouver: THinking of Coming Here? Look how the police treat you...
This happened about 6 weeks ago...thats a 13 year old kid.
http://vancouver.indymedia.org/uploads/asshole_pigs.jpg http://vancouver.indymedia.org/news/2002/10/18270.php I thought about something better....wait...no...i didnt...all the police cliches are used up... |
the police are no better in the states.
well at least the LAPD :BangBang: |
I'll bet he deserved it.
|
I see a cop restraining someone from hitting someone. What do you see?
|
That kid shouldn't have been causing shit.
They should have beat that kids ass raw! |
that kid should brush his teeths
|
Look at the fuckin grubby protesters. Look at that guys hair, he has some half-assed dreadlocks like all good protesters do. These guys don't even know or care about what they're protesting about, they just go from protest to protest.
Have any of you seen the movie PCU? Remember the causeheads? Thats what these guys are. Whether it's saving the whales or stopping the war in Iraq they'll be in there like a dirty shirt. They don't care about bringing change to society, they care about making themselves look cool within their circle of protester friends. The more causes you support than the cooler you are. They deserve all the beatings they get, and should probably get more. |

Your attempts to bait are transparent
|
But....let me ask you something....
DREADLOCKS...isn't the whole process a little disturbing? As I understand it...you have to shave your head...and then refrain from washing as you curl it. Is that urban legend? ANyone here have dreads and can share the process... |
Cause-heads bug me...read this:
cause-heads leave the impression that they took Cliff's Notes of Chomsky and made them into little, laminated cards which they all carry around. Their ability to recite these requisite talking-points becomes as much of an identification as their flannel shirts, body-piercings, and backpacks covered with quasi-political slogan pins. But strip away the protest-subculture, and you will not find much beyond overprivileged, suburban, white kids whose parents paid for them to attend elite, east-coast universities, and who have minimal understanding of the issues about which they demonstrate. |
I don't see any assault there. The camera angle & shot are obviously calculated to make it look as bad as possible. Bet they didn't use the whole sequence of shots or a videotape either, just the one pic that best fit the propoganda line.
Whining pussies! |
one can envision a scenario where some unfortunate cause-head found himself out of the loop as pertains to the protests-of-the-moment and somehow managed to bring the wrong sign to a march. You can almost hear the catty derision of fellow-causeheads: "Save the whales? That is so last-century!"
|
awww....jeezz....two guys using the same IP trying to rile someone up....

I don't know about the others, but I wasn't trying to bait anyone. No cop beats up a kid for fun, and people tend to exagerate things. Especially protestors when discribing "police brutality". |
I used to live in LA and in all my life I've never seen so much police toughness and display of the we can do whatever we want attitude with civilians. I remember one time seeing a homeless man that was throwing trash into the middle of the street. Then he made the mistake of taking the whole can and dumping it in the middle of the road right as the cops were arriving. About 6 patrol cars screeched in from all directions in about 3 minutes and the guy threw an empty coke bottle at the cops when they were approaching him and instantly the batons all came out and this guy was completely pulverized by at least 8 cops. Not saying he didn't deserve a whooping obviously, but this one made Rodney King's whooping look like a slap on the wrist in comparison. The funny part is there were at least 50 or so bystanders on this street in downtown LA at the time watching all this unfold and they were all cheering for the cops and a few in the crowd were actually yelling "go go go" like as in don't stop we want to see more blood. It was kind of like the crowd in Gladiator. :)
On the other hand, I had a few good friends out there who were in law enforcement and they would tell me war stories and such and when you hear it from their perspective all the shit they deal with day in and day out, you can see how the over the edge point can happen very quickly when situations get out of hand. Personally, I'd rather see hard ass cops then softies. Keeps people in check and that's just the price of living in these overcrowded metro areas. If you can't handle tough cops move to the little towns where you have maybe one or two cops like in the Andy Griffith show on the force and you won't see the kind of things like in the big cities happening. |
|
Sunshine...whats that from?
Brazil? |
If you can't handle tough cops then don't fuck with them. Not throwing things at them would be a start.
I have no sympathy for anyone who fucks with a cop and then wonders why they were so rough with them. Duh! |
Your thought process makes me laugh...you and your boyfriend have drawn all these conclusions from one simple photo...
|
|
You seem to have a good supply of police beating photos....
A new fetish site perhaps? |
You say...

Those morons who had to have force used on them in Vancouver to restore public order were vandals and thugs. Embarassing for the city really. ps. That kid looks viscous, like he's about to bite a cop's hand off or something. If I was a cop I woulda clubbed and pepper-sprayed him for my own personal safety. It's not worth it to get HepC or something. You definitely gotta club the ones who look like that after a warning to get lost. Cops need to have rights too. |
Those stupid fucking tree hugging protesters deserve what they get. Don't want to get hurt don't go to a stupid protest asking for it. I swear most of them are just there for the fights that always erupt.
I like the way Malaasian police deal with there student protests, they are always so fucking violioce protests by the students so the police just start shooting rubber bullets, they had this camera shot of this 1 student running away from a cop and the cop was only 5 metres away and the cop fired about 6 rubber bullets into this stupid ass student. The word ouch comes to mind. Sammy |

Some people are just asking for a beating:

#1 Mr. Pop up you say they are coming to a lot of conclusions based upon one photograph...well so did you...you came to the conclusion that this kid got beat...he's only 13...and did nothing to deserve this.
How do you know this is just not a midget pretending to be 13? Midgets are freaky little people you know...they can't be trusted. #2 My rule of thumb in dealing with the federales is as such. If they ask me to pull over I do so as soon as it is safe to. I put both hands on the steering wheel and do not move them to even roll down the window until asked to do so. When they ask for my license, registration etc, I tell them clearly...I am reaching for my wallet in my pants pocket and then proceed to do it slowly...etc etc. anything to avoid some guy who just might be a bit freaked out from pulling the gun he gets to carry and blowing my ass away. #3 re: police brutality. It sucks...and I'm sure there are plenty of people who do not deserve it. Scratch that...no one deserves it...BUT!!!! If in the event something happens that draws the police's attention to you and you decide to run, drive off, take a swing at them etc...you have changed the rules of the game. I'm not saying those rules include an ass whoopin'...but hey once you break the rules of engagement...all the rules are broken and anything can and will happen. In the end you may be right...but you may be dead right.:ak47: |
The kids an ugly lookin punk.... He deserves the beats

What an odd thread. A guy pops in and posts a pic at the same time drawing some strange (and from looking at the pic totally inaccurate) conclusions and then insults others for not being able to see what isn't there. Just plain odd.
Certainly nothing there that would stop me moving to Vancouver if I had a reason to. |
