Vanishing sales at TopBucks?
 

well, no biggie - YET ... but seriously ... being a small player, i keep an
eye on my stats ... and, they have that rule, one has to make at least
TWO sales, before one can access the free promo content area ... i had
sniffed in there, so i KNEW i DID have two sales ... today, i check my stats
and see a sale at 1:43xx which made me go HUH? so, i hit up my acct rep
and just a bit ago, he got back at me and told me i made ZERO sales! EHH?
WHAT!? i check back in and YO MAN! now the stats for this year show up
as 0:586 :mad: ok, turned out the previous sale was last year, but what
happened to the one i made this year? sniff sniff ... smells like shaving?
everybody check stats and ... did it happen to you as well?

yaya, you laff about a vanishing sale, but i send to a shitload of programs
and if it happened on all, it wud be a major loss :(

just checked my stats and see one sale i did not have before from a site i never promote.

what site was it from?

I check stats on several programs at various intervals and whenever sales are made I make note of them and record it all, and in the past have caught a couple of programs that have had sales vanish without explanation. In the majority of the cases where this might happen, there's sometimes an explanation, such as chargeback or refund.

The thing with vanishing sales is, that with many programs, particularly those using NATS, you can check detailed stats to review why it vanished, such as chargeback.

Ok, so yes, it's a fact of the business that once in awhile you might get a chargeback and naturally the credit for the sale is reversed, however, in my case, in regards to the few I caught erasing sales, nothing whatsoever showed up in detailed stats.. Naturally the program knows nothing and says no sales, blah blah bullshit as usual song and dance, although in the majority of cases, if you had a chargeback/refund, the rep will tell you so.

There were two occaisons though where the programs looked into it and said, "Hey, you're right.. we'll take care of you.. thanks for letting us know" and another that said "we can't locate any problem or issue and our database shows the same as what you see now, but we'll honor those missing sales on your next scheduled payout" which they did.

Then there's another which uses nats and EVERY COMMISSION EARNED WAS ERASED, ALL OF IT, just disappeared and to date neither the program nor nats will respond to how it was done.

To make a long story short, I have since then been using a screen recorder that records everything and makes screencaps, so at any time in the future I will have documentation of sales and stats and will know without a doubt that something is not right.

On another note, I'm glad you brought this up because I need to send this years w9 out to topbucks and while I'm at it I might as well put up some more promo to their sites.

I have never had any problems with topbucks and shaving.

They are an honest program.

Hey overload sent you an email on what our programmers have found and just for everyone else to know this is what happened: it looks like he has only 1 localbilling
sale. However, we have some old scripts laying around that are still
updating the old pre-topbucks reloaded stats table. The script on the
giveaway content was adding up the sales in both old and new tables,
which wound up double-counting that one lone sale. This issue has been fixed and will no longer happen in the future. We apologize for the confusion this has caused.

Seems like if a program wanted to shave they wouldn't show you the sale to begin with.

i love that logic as well. "they showed me a sale.. then the sale disappeared, so they must be doing something super sneaky with my 1 join a week... i better run to a webmaster forum and inform the entire adult industry"

It is counting a "sale" as either a new sale or a rebill, the "sale" is basically any transaction that takes place. He had roughly 70 new sales. He is on our 70% recurring program. As his rebills continue to stack, the value per sale will continue to grow. His value per sale is already close to $30... as time goes on and the rebills continue to stack, his value per initial sale will be over the $35 threshold.
