Earth hour on Saturday
 

I want to inform every Gfy member that on Saturday we have the Earth Hour.

Visit the above link, prepare with some popcorn, turn off all electrical devices. And, just sit on your arse for an hour.

After this is over and done with, The Earth will never be the same
and start to flourish.



Just like every other get quick fix gimmick, this is a big Fat Joke.

I think it's more about raising awareness than about creating a mythical quick-fix.

I'll be doing my usual, I always keep my lights to the essential anyway. I shut off my monitor and put my system in power-saving mode if not shut it down outright. I shut off power bars to unused electrical applicances that continue to use power even when switched off, etc.

The one thing I'll do extra in honor of that particular hour is shut off my kitchen stereo. But other than that my tunes stay on about 14 hrs a day.

I am waiting for the telescope pics :)
