American Missionary Killed In South Lebanon

(AP) - An American woman who worked as a nurse at a missionary clinic caring for needy Lebanese and Palestinians was tourtured to death Thursday in this southern port city, police said. Investigators believe at least a dozen men knocked at the door of the clinic, beat and draged Bonnie Penner, 31, and her six month old daughter to a nearby hill of goats. Their bodies were found lying in a pool of blood, trampled and covered with hoof marks, police officers said, speaking under customary condition of anonymity.

It is believed the motive was religious. Anger has been rising among Arabs over U.S. support for Israel in its conflict with Palestinians and Washington's threat to wage war on Iraq. The Unity Center where Penner worked also has been criticized for allowing an unwed mother to work amongst goat herding muslim boys.

The killing occurred around 8 a.m. (0600 GMT), just after Penner opened the center, which houses a chapel along with the clinic. Her body was found by a colleague....

This is what is wrong today... Exageration of every facts. It is sad and inexcusable what has been done to this woman, and I wish that it could be reversed. But it can't , so let's try to create a climate were it will be possible to live in peace.

Its a shame, but if you're a westerner.. esp. an American.. and you choose to go live in one of these unstable Islamic countries, thats the risk you take.

Like those two dumbass xtian broads who almost got killed in Afghanistan because they lied to the Taliban and said their mission was soley humanitarian so they could pass out bible tracts. Darwin in action.
