Why Did US Print Money Suddenly?
Did the wealthy nations suddenly stop buying debt? It just seems a bit sudden when they announced the quantitative easing and the dollar tanked so...... whats going on?
Assuming this is going to be the way forward now with future expansion of the fed balance sheet, is the dollar gonna drop like a stone now going forward? |
Obama thats whats going on, end of the empire as it was known.

A week dollar is good for exports as well as attracting foreign investors (assuming it won't continue to go down hill)

obama is a crazy motherfucker who's only aim is to take down the US :2 cents:

Helicopter Bernanke doing his thing. Inflation is going to be a bitch. Let's just hope it doesn't turn to HYPERinflation.

Cant wait for one US dollar to be worth 25 cents Canadian - I'll buy 10 servers at that price!

Which nation is wealthy right now?
It's a tough call. Printing money without tangible backing, plus the fact that the dollar is really only worth what people perceive it to be worth. They are playing a dangerous game by printing more unbacked currency. The downside is zero confidence in the dollar which would be a collapse in the value resulting in a depression. Gietner scares me...and probably a lot of other people. He doesn't instill confidence therefore less buyers of debt. I don't think the dollar is perceived as strong. But....it is the only game in town so....who really knows. I have heard mentioned several times now that a global economic crisis like this one requires a global solution. I would imagine the peeps that desire a world currency are wringing their hands in delight right about now. |

Why is the FED printing money? Who's gonna tell them not to? If other countries don't like it, they either shut up and take it or ditch the dollar and piss off Uncle Sam. Interesting times. |

Therein lies the problem. :2 cents: |
If the dollar inflates it will make it easier for us to pay off our debts.

We are the only country that can truly print money and get away with it. Recently the uk wasn't able to print it self out of this problem, as the us prints more dollars other nations are able to print more of their currencies.
