Hey Pimproll --- Why the ban on Hustler?
 

I've wanted to push several of your programs for a while, but your TOS forbids me from also promoting Hustler, Playboy, Penthouse, etc... I'm curious about that. Why do you have that policy?

You can't use those trademarked terms to promote our sites. You're certainly free to promote their programs though.

This is very common, keeps you from getting sued by the trademark owners as well.

We are not saying you can't use Hustler's TM to promote Hustler.

Does that mean if you have let say 2 minute video on tube site from hustler that page cannot contain nothing else then banner to hustler site only ?

Actually, that's a good question, XAXS. Aric, the TOS says that any of the above terms "may not appear anywhere in the HTML or graphics on your web property" and that the webmaster using them may forfeit any earned monies - but based on the first section in item 3, it would seem to preclude promoting them at all.

(I have no dog in this fight, but it's an interesting question.)

If you'd like to use the term Hustler, you are more than welcome to as long as you promote us of course. And we will be glad to assist you with anything you need.

I guess I understand this. It would be like if you used the trademark name Anilos to promote another milf site. Like milf hunter, that would be a problem.

i understand the idea but the list seems a bit strange, it almost implies you can use other trademarked adult companies to promote pimproll , just not the ones listed :winkwink:
