My ICQ just self destructed!
 

I had so many people ICQing me at once that the fucking thing closed and hung up my computer... Ever time I tried to reset it would just hang my computer... The only way I could get my computer to boot back up was to unplug the modem and close ICQ when I booted up... anyone else had this problem before?

I'm reinstalling the fucking thing now...

too days ago ... I start up my PC .. and ICQ crashes.. over and over.. so I unistalled it and reinstalled it.. still doesnt work ... so I do a system restore , still no good

I use trillian now ... much better, bit of a pain to set up , but great and way better than ICQ .

The same thing just happened to me... I reinstalled the thing 3 fucking times and it wouldn't work... but my firewall kept requesting access from ICQSRP.exe located in my documents and settings - local settings - temp folder... I deleted that file and everything works now... strange because the ICQSRP.exe file is suppose to be in the ICQ folder...

its owned by AOL what do you expect

... now that´s wired ... I know of three other guys complaining about ICQ crashing all day long ...

i also reccomend trillian - been using it a month and haven't looked back - loads way faster and hasn't missed any messages.:thumbsup

yeah mine crashed a lot when people log on.

icq never crashes for me. :glugglug
