haha same here...not crackers...i always assume newspapers...and books etc

although maybe some carry their laptops in there

I just a associate a briefcase with some degree of shiftiness.. like, they are selling amway or are a little bit crazy and/or delusional. Like a homeless guy who went on a shopping spree at Goodwill and picked up a tweed blazer, shoes, dress pants.... and an official looking briefcase! I don't know why I think this.

Ya but that's usually some kind of metal or brushed-aluminum type briefcase which may or may not be handcuffed to them. When I see one of those people I think "ok, maybe this person is serious" or "wow this person is REALLY REALLY crazy". I guess I'm more talking about the faded brown leather briefcase with the worn out corners.. :error

the metal or brushed-aluminum type briefcase transporters are the decoys who take the fall, just to let those carrying the faded brown leather briefcase with the worn out corners to reach the objective.
