okay maybe not quite a million but it makes a good looking round number

I built a cool little php tool that lets you rip videos from sponsor fhg's. It rips all the videos on a page, combines them, adds your own custom trailer, converts it to flv ( or any format ) , takes a screenshot and saves it. You can set it on a cron job with a list of fhg's and automate it if your like or just manually do them.

Most fhg videos are under a minute making the combined final video about 3-5 mins including the trailer

Would ths be something people would be interested in using or are the videos still too short. Most of the big tube sites are doing longer videos , but they also don't have the variety of some of the smaller niche's

it could also do picture fhg's and convert them into much longer slideshows 5-10 minutes or even longer if you use picture sets but i havent added that feature because i don't use it myself and im not sure anyone would , but it might make an interesting tube site that focuses on pictures in videos, instead of just videos

Tube scripts can already do that.

What sucks is trying to get all the hosted gallery links to feed the script.

Combine videos into one ?
really , i have never seen any of the videos yet. then again i'm not a big tube browser.

Can you recommend any tube software with this feature so i can gleen some ideas. or maybe a video created with this feature so i can take a look ?

Sounds like a good tool, I was planning on adding a gallery ripper to Tube Ace.

script im using does that, takes a hosted gallery and rips them and encodes it

bulk is not my favourite way to go, quality over quantity any day.

Most custom scripts do that.. I'm not sure any out of the box tube scripts do, but I know I've tinkered with the ability to do exactly what you're saying.

Is this a stand alone type of script or would it have to be integrated into some larger script.

I'd be interested if it was stand alone.

just 1 php file a webbased form with 1 box, although it could have some features added for custom use like pulling the title into an xml feed

that doesnt look like it combines the videos , thats just an xml feed with the videos one after another.

This combines all the video together and adds your own custom trailer

it could easily be integrated into any tube script but its standalone right now.

If anyone knows what they are doing and just wants the ffmpeg command lines i use i dont mind sharing them, if you want the standalone script, i also dont mind sharing but i cant really help much in the way of setting it up for you unless u wanna pay me or want something custom setup

well if i have to do absolutley nothing but give you the script then yes its free, if it needs a few tweaks then i can charge you a bit, if you need the whole shebang setup, explained all the needed requirements installed etc etc then i would rather someone else got your server ready for it cuz i rarely have the patience.

hmmm maybe I need a codec or something but your video is all garbled for me smokey

well because i only use 1 format for the output and i gave 3 choices i left it a bit open as far as codecs so it can support more choices, but you can dial down the codecs to whatever u want really i just didnt hardcode it like that :thumbsup

Cool.. I wrote the pretty much the exact same thing 6-9 months ago.. load up a bunch of FHGs in the admin, hit "go" and come back later to pick out which thumbs you want.. All of occurs on the server.. Mine also lets you set which clips from a set of galleries and that way build a longer FLV of the same scene.
