Important Issue - please read
Just last week, the Omnibus Public Lands Bill was voted on and failed to pass the majority vote. Senator Harry Reid, very sneakily reopened it and attached it to another bill to be voted on tomorrow, March 16th.
This bill plans to close over 2 million acres of public land and designate it as wilderness. Meaning no hunting, fishing, or offroad vehicle access will be permitted. And it will cost billions of dollars to the US taxpayers to enact and enforce the closure. This bill will close PUBLIC LAND that is open right now to you and your children to hunt, fish, hike, camp, ride dirtbikes, ATVs, or other offroad vehicles on. Click the link below to send a letter to let our public officials know that we dont not want our public lands closed. http://www.amadirectlink.com/legisltn/rapidresponse.asp Please post this in other forums or email it to as many people as you can, time is short to spread the word about this very important issue. |
Why are they trying to close it? Environmentalists?

Um... fuck that noise. |
Sorry, I'd rather have it designated as wilderness. I'm not a fan of sport hunting, littering campers, and people fucking shit up for the wild animals with their ATV's and Dirtbikes and shit. People wanna get mad when a bear digs through their garbage but then wanna fuck up the bears land. Mother fuckers want go all crazy on their ATV's through the animals lands and then wanna get mad when a raccoon sets up a boomboom room in their attick. Fuck humanity.

Maybe you'd care about the billions of dollars this is going to take out of our already fucked up economy to enact and enforce... nah I feel like i'm preaching to the choir with you. If you like the government closing 2 million acres of your public land and using your tax dollars to do it, then whatever. Have a nice evening. |

That's fine, lets all vote against this, and then when all the animals run out of homes to be in, we'll take them to live in your house, sound good to you? Fucking selfish pricks. |
For those who are wondering: 2 million acres is slightly less than 0.1% of total US land size.
Aside from that, while the original post in this thread implies the land would be "closed off", that isn't actually true. In fact, the bill included the establishment of new hiking trails, and the protection of existing ones. Also, it included an amendment stating that lands now open to hunting and fishing would stay open for hunting and fishing. As for the bit about vehicles (just about the only part in the original post that is actually true), anyone who has ever hiked knows just how much vehicles can damage previously unspoiled lands. |

I dont care for hunting at all, but I dont think our government should use our tax dollars to close off our public lands. And some retards same I'M the one being selfish? It OUR public lands, people. But go ahead and stand by and let the government keep taking more and more away from you, and making you pay for it, because the government says its good for you. I'm glad you love getting fucked so hard, because the government says you should like it. |

The answer is quite simple: because it's pretty fucking hard to hunt, fish or hike when there's no nature left. So it isn't really surprising that you, someone who "doesn't care for hunting at all", do not support this bill. |

Because, you know, this bill will pass eventually anyway. It got a 282-144 majority this time, so when they try again, they'll use the usual process which allows for amendments, and only need a simple majority instead of a 2/3 majority. Your lies won't change that :thumbsup |
go Harry :1orglaugh
