I have a rather freaky parental death story. My father was involved in a car accident en-route to the hospital to visit my mother and myself. I was 3 days old.

Never got an opportunity to meet the man...

Let me rephrase that... in today's world, pple who are emotional cripples use guns to off themselves. Pple who can't fight worth a damn use guns to off others. Sadly, the gun has become the great salvation for society's weak, who refuse to utilize their MIND to emancipate themselves.

I own two guns. A shotgun and a .357 mag. The shotgun was given to me as a gift. The mag is my home security system.

Oh... I also have a stun baton which was also a gift from a friend. I'd use that on an intruder before the mag if possible. Not saying guns are for weaklings by any means. It takes a strong shoulder to handle the recoil of a shotgun. :winkwink:

One of the 1st night's I spent at my boyfriend's house (now my husband) I woke up in the middle of the night and heard a noise in the alley. Some crackhead knocked over the garbage cans, trying to break into the house.

Boyfriend goes tearing out into the yard -- but picture this: a 6'5" inch guy who looks like a biker, wearing nothing but jockey shorts, bellowing and swinging a 15 lb. morningstar mace. Mr. Crackhead screamed and hauled ass down the alley, and we slept soundly the rest of the night. :1orglaugh

Hubby and I met through the Society for Creative Anachronism, which explains why he had a mace leaning against the wall behind his bedroom door in the first place.
