i like HOT... when at new places I like to ask them to bring out the hottest... considering the initial salsa is good...

I'm proud of my Gringo peeps that can eat hot salsa..they are real men..

I love me some spicy foods. From the age of 3 forward you can't pull me away from chips and salsa. Home video of me in Canada, no mexicans anywhere in the country and I am stuffing my face with salsa

chips and salsa is the best part! Im usually too full after a setting of chips n salsa for the main meal...

Went to this place in eureka california once that had the best set up... they brought out 3 maple syrup pouring receptacles... 3 kinds... so you get to pour as uch as you want without asking for refills n such...

BEST setup ever!!!

I do not like heat for the sake of heat over any real flavor - which most hot salsa's are.

good salsas bring the heat after the taste

one thing you can count on is ... it will be both..... I never leave home without a gun...

I make salsa for supper at least once every two weeks, nothing else with it but some chips.

It may not be traditional but it's the way I like it after years of trying different ways,
tomatoes
cilantro
garlic powder
lime juice
a little serrano pepper for front heat and chipotle peppers with adobo sauce for back heat.

I understand, just many of the hot ones have next to no flavor and are made poorly.

I fully agree...

I had a cousin that married a mexican so he could get his green card... I went to their wedding and reception and they fed me a grilled pepper that was long and skinny.

I can't take stuff too hot but I must admit most salsa at Mexican places I go to has some heat and it's really good.
