How the city lets this keep happening is beyond me.

Wow.

WWC 03-11-2009 10:17 PM

wow....surprised that bridge hasnt come down yet....

burntfilm 03-11-2009 10:27 PM

think maybe the sign isn't enough, guys?

kaori 03-11-2009 10:30 PM

did a quick google, and the average semi-truck height is around 13ft....
poor guys! Looks like they have no legal recourse, since it's posted as being 11'8!

AntiDrama 03-11-2009 10:38 PM

stupidest shit i have ever seen....... lol

Danny B 03-11-2009 10:45 PM

I've been right behind one of those tools once.
I hit the breaks just in time but all kinds of shit that got scraped off top of the truck landed on my car.

there is a big ass steel beam right before the bridge to protect it, that's what they are hitting:pimp

crockett 03-12-2009 12:01 AM

That's fucking crazy... If they can't raise the bridge they could very well lower the street in that section. Not to mention they could put one of those warning bars with chains hanging down to warn the drivers ahead of time.

StaceyJo 03-12-2009 09:01 AM

Looks funny. They must hire a good architect.

beemk 03-12-2009 09:05 AM

lets it happen? different trucks are different sizes, if you dont fit you dont drive thru. this happens more often than you think.

Marcus Aurelius 03-12-2009 09:06 AM

This happened on 85 north once with a dump truck that had left his dump bed up just slightly. The resulting debris busted the tires of cars behind him as he passed and killed about 5 people in the wrecks it caused.

You just fucking KNOW those stupid ass drivers would go for it too! Someo of those drivers didn't even flinch and kept driving like nothing happened! The other ones had no choice because they actually got wedged under the bridge and couldn't move! :warning

candyflip 03-12-2009 10:14 AM

:1orglaugh

My dad had a truck on the way to a big trade show with the client's entire exhibit get stuck under a bridge like that.

Phoenix 03-12-2009 10:22 AM

i think there must be a sign stating the bridge height...so maybe the trucks shouldnt be speeding...they also look to be going much faster then other traffic
