Teh last time we were in Maui at my inlaws place in Pukalani, they had this cute little chamelion in their tree. My father in law told me it was a "jackson" which looks just like a chamelion, excpe it didn't seem to change colors.... not even slightly.

Geckos were all over the place. On the walls in the dinning room. bedrooms, bathrooms. Strange seeing full grown lizards just walking around in the house.

we hardly ever see geckos here.... occasionally I guess.... but we got LOADS of anoles..... (miniature chameleons.... very cute....)

the Jackson chameleons are not wanted here..... they're trying to eradicate them from the islands....

Ok, when I come, I'm bringing my madagascar roaches. They breed much, much faster than the Jacksons. I'll get them on that list so fast it'll make thier heads spin. Maybe then the Jacksons will drop off the list.

If not, oh well.

They'll keep the creepy-crawly population down.

I used to clean carpets back in college & one time I was cleaning this kid's room in some surban town & I ran the vacuum into his plastic cage sittin' on the ground. One of them type of cages that the tp of the 'aquarium' is connected to the sides & it just sits on a bottom tray. Well, when I ran into it, I noticed that I knocked the top off & out came like a million baby snakes just takin' off in all different directions in his bedroom! Woops! I carefully put the top back on & high-taiuled it outta that house. :1orglaugh Whjat makes it even funnier was that the family there were moving out like that day or the next or something. LOL...surprise to the new owners!

pedes have been known to eat geckos.... yes. But not regularly. Pedes eat anything living that they can overpower. Sometimes that's a gecko.
