Larry Walters, spoke very well on "Today Show"

I just wanted to say "Great Job" to Larry Walters for his comments on the "Today" show.

You can read the article on 'sexting' that made headline news on MSNBC.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29613192/

He always seems to be a great voice of reason in our industry.

Agreed, a 18 year old guy and a 16 year old girl? Would that be acceptable? My 16 year old daughter met a 17 year old guy i let her date him till he turned 18. LOL

seeric 03-10-2009 10:21 AM

Im so sick of the media. What the fuck is "sexting"? Some term they made up to sensationalize an issue and make it more shocking to the public. Attention whores. Fuck msnbc and every other retarded media outlet. Yes, what those kids did is bad, but call it what it is. Theres a term for what they did. You don't need to make shit up to make it mroe shocking.

larry walters is a well spoken guy, saw him on panel in florida, around the time of that hurricane, not many speakers impress me as much as he did

I thought it was good common sense stuff and every prosecutor in the country should be hollering for new laws that actually are applicable to these new crimes.

What a concept. Punishments fitting the crimes.

When I worked in a commercial photo lab inspecting prints, I would occasionally come across various criminal activities. As many people these days DONT know (because they dont hardly know what "film" is anymore), when a commercial photo lab comes across such activities, they must report it to the police. There were times when I had to contact them because of the questionable ages of people in photographs that were adult in nature. My point is that while the digital age has made things EASIER to do without anyone seeing it until it's "too late"... these TYPES of things are not entirely brand new. So creating new laws for these increasingly sexualized and socialized teens should be super easy to do. Hopefully the interview helps kick some communities into gear on the subject.

And he is actually quite nice.

UFGators2007 03-10-2009 10:31 AM

Very nice, indeed.

Dafne 03-10-2009 10:35 AM

Great Job indeed!

Larry Walters was also interview on our show couple months ago on the new 2257 regulations and his views on the Obama Administration.

prosecuting these kids like this is a great idea, lets throw 25% of High School students into jail out of the gate for acting how mtv taught them to act. talk about a set up. Great job by Larry for pointing this out.

kids are always going to be kids. larry is right on what the laws are created for and how they are being applied. there are other ways to deal with these kids. shit i used to break laws all the time. you know what happened? the cops would take us home to our mothers and my mom would wail on us with a switch from the birch tree in the back yard. we never did anything fucked up or illegal after that.

:1orglaugh

Bingo. And my mom used to make us cut our own switch. It only took once of thinking the smaller the better. Small switches smart like a mofo!

Reporting CP is not snitching. If you think it is, then you're one screwed up person.

Anyway, that lab went out of business decades ago. But if there's call for someone to do bulk 26mm, 110mm, 35mm or disc receiving, prepping, processing, printing, inspecting, cutting and shipping. I'm your man, lmfao.

Obsolescence is the new black.

Reak AGV 03-10-2009 11:25 AM

if its some 17yo kid takin snaps of his 16yo gf and it is obvious i dont see why you would call the cops. just gonna get some kids in trouble over something that im sure tons of people here did in their high school days.

Let me put it this way.. and it applies to today as well. If I see someone who looks like they're not adults engaging in adult contact, I fucking report it. Period.
