Film - Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves

Watched this last night. Wow it's long and has some cheesy moments in it, but worth watching. I remember when it was released in 1991 however never saw it at the time.

Plot
----
After being captured by Turks during the Crusades, Robin of Locksley and a Moor, Azeem, escape back to England where Azeem vows to remain until he repays Robin for saving his life. Meanwhile, Robin's father has been murdered by the Sheriff of Nottingham and when Robin returns home he vows to avenge his father's death. Even though Marian, his childhood friend, cannot help him, he escapes to the Forest of Sherwood where he joins a band of exiled villagers and becomes their leader. With their help he attempts to cleanse the land of the evil that the Sheriff has spread.

The most annoying part of that movie was Bryan Adams' song.
And that's no small accomplishment!

It was good and that song was pretty popular too....

I watched this one a long time ago...it was a good one..

Saw it in the theaters when I was like 14 I think.

Yeah it was ok.

It was a good movie,watched it m any years ago and I remember a few things about it,including the song

I'm with you on that one, and some of the casting was suspect. Christian Slater in a period film? Kevin "I run good ideas into the ground" Costner?

The two best jobs of casting were Morgan Freeman and Alan Rickman IMHO

I didn't really like the movie when i saw it at first, the second time was better though

wow.. watched that when i was a kid

And of all things..

They are making a new Robin Hood movie.. starring...

(lack of drumroll, please) Russell Crowe. You'd think Ridley Scott could pull better names for lead rolls.
