My kid just won a 'grand prize' off a slushpuppy drink 'roll up the rim' and..
 

She bought it around 7 tonite at the local corner store and I have heard her mention a couple times over the last 2 weeks she'd 'die' if she won the game console. Sure enough half way through her drink she rolls up the rim and sees "Winner - Game Console".

She freaked out and we took her back to the store to enquire about collecting the prize, where the store owner said "that contest was back in the fall young lady, its no good no more"

Are you fucking kidding me? My kids choked, It was pretty hard to leave the store without snapping out on the owner, who figured the $10-20 worth of cups wasnt worth spending to replace them with new cups.

Why would you sell contest cups to kids when you knew the contest was expired.

Tomorrow I'll call the slushpuppy headquarters and see if they can help convince me that meatspin shouldn't be the top result for their brand search.

exactly what game console was it?

the machines probably include a license agreemnt. the guy had to of been in violation of something by using the wrong cups, but that doesn't mean you'll get the game. store owners could just check all the cups before throwing them out and then claim the prize if that were the case.

do what the other guy said. call the local media. even if it is just your little newspaper. they'll send it to you then.

Well the head office in Gatineau, has assured me that they will infact send her a game system. I'm not sure what 'console' it was, it shows what looks like a Wii on the cup.

So she will be a happy girl when she gets home today.
