Jettis *NOT* scrubbing?

Last night I was investigating alternatives to our current billing companies. I was looking at how user friendly the payment pages were and how they handle declines. I wanted to see the page that Jettis displayed for a decline, so I entered completely
bogus information expecting to see their error page.

Oddly enough I was approved. To get around their credit card number hashing, I did give them a real number from of my cards. However, I gave them the wrong name, wrong state, wrong zip, wrong cvv2, wrong expiration date, wrong street address, and the card is US my ip address is Canadian. I should have been
declined for any number of reasons but they approved the transaction.

Anyone else notice anything screwy about Jettis lately?

I think you will find that some of the other IPSPs have similar scrubbing algorythms. I had a guy join my site with obviously fake information once and was told by CCBill that in some cases a person can join with just the card number and state being correct - all the other info can be bogus. I was told the algorythm is complicated, but if the history of the card is very good then a person can enter a lot of bogus info and still be approved. I was told that the only information that absolutely must be correct in all cases is the card number and state.

Just got off the phone with Jettis. Appearently they adjust the scrub on a per client basis. The website I went to them from was set to just check that the card number was valid and that it matched the country. Accordingly the transaction passed their scrub, but should have been declined by my bank for having an incorrect name.

I'll should try calling my bank next but I'm not sure I really want to tell them I'm sending in bogus transactions.
