Any Ducati 916 Bike riders here
Hey guys i thought i would just ask i am looking to get another bike today
a Ducati 916 at a kiler price , the thing is i am use to riding Jap bikes and i really dnot know much on these bikes is there any one that wants to give there input to good and the bad of them have a good one all:thumbsup :glugglug :thumbsup |
Hey Prostock :)
I don't ride myself, but I am a big fan of AMA Superbike racing and the Ducati teams rule damn near every year. My ex was looking at getting a Duc (996) after years as a KZ owner, and swore his old crotch rocket couldn't compare to the horsepower and "feel" of the Ducati. Personally, I'd recommend the 916, especially if you can get one at a killer price. Post pics if you can... love to see it! :thumbsup |
The only downfall is that there quite expencive to maintain and upgrade. I personally am a fan of the Japanese bikes, 1/2 the price and 2x the bike.... but if ya got the cash, and want a super sexy bike, Ducati is a great choice.:thumbsup
Here's my scooter.:winkwink: http://www.championsportbikes.com/bi...n/DSCN0685.JPG |

A 916 is a sweet bike, but if you are used to say a CBR929 or a GSXR1000/1100 you will be disappointed in the power, is stock form they are a turd.
Before I get flamed here I have been road racing for most of my life, a stock GSXR750 will out right embarrass a 916 on any track. That being said if you don't mind losing the power and like the style and quality that the Ducks have go for it. |
If you are buying any sort of italian motor vehicle, please, get the red one!
Dont fuck up like BradShaw did and buy a non-red ferrari. |
Those are nice, but I'm a Harley man myself.

Back in the day I had an 888. God day-um I miss that bike.
I feel like it was a girl I dated in high school and I broke up with her because of, like, peer pressure and didn't discover until later that she grew into a total hottie in college, and now I can't stop thinking about her. |
i've had a couple ducatis and a couple guzzi lemans/sport.
now i have a suzuki hayabusa, which makes ALL the italian bikes seem like fragile kid toys. |
I ride a Honda RC51, its a Jap copy of a ducati, with Japanese reliability. First year out it won the World Superbike Championship, and won again in 2002.
If you are gonna buy a Duc get a 998, 916 is old news. |
