Sean Penn is really short.
 

So I'm out at the Matrix in SF last night with some friends and Sean Penn shows up. I couldn't believe that I'm almost a foot and a half taller than the guy. Obviously all the girls were swooning around him though. I bought him a beer with three straws, hell, what else are you going to get a celeb?

Sylvester Stallone and Al Pacino and Tom Cruise are all like 5' 1"

He always seems taller in the movies. But you don't really notice height that much on film.

Nicole Kidman's comment on splitting up with Tom Cruise:

"Now I can wear high heels again..."

In movies, I wonder if he's wearing 8" platforms.

Remember in Hollywood Westerns they used scaled props to make the actors look taller.

Salloon doors etc so the Gunslinging Duke looked tough.

John Wayne was short too.

I remember reading something he wore boots 2 sizes too big when he put his boot prints on Hollywood Walk of Fame so people wouldnt see how short he actually was.

The same goes for women, hearing they wore shoes 2 sizes too SMALL so they would look more petite as in having smaller feet for Hollywood Walk of Fame.
