Is revsharehosting dead ?

The server are all down, the ftp, the http, even the one that host the main domain
of RSH. I wrote to Matt yesterday, but didn't get a reply. I am a bit worry.

Honestly, I used RSH 6 years ago. Virtual prices are so, so low now that you can only kick yourself for not hosting your own shit.

If you can't afford 9 or 10 bucks a month for hosting then get out now!!!!

Virtual hosting...common.
Limited space and bandwith, all kinds of problems
with stuff like cgi, mysql or php. I did all this before
and I got seriously fed up. I think the only one working decently
was godaddy...even then they manage to fuck up the mysql
pretty good. I payed and manage my own server before by the way.

This doesn't answer my question...What is happening with RSH ?

Maybe, I will check. Doesn't seem like RSH exist anymore...The free host are real crap these days. Probleme is that I don't have any idea of my bandwith anymore. But since I have TGPs it should be low.

Crap. All the softwares setup, the backups to restore. Weeks of work... I hate this shit. I didn't have a backup of my last 2 months :Oh crap

I went through all the BS of freehosts years ago with sexshare and other ones... best move I ever did was move to a hosting company and back then prices were way more then what they are now!

I never tried phatserver. I think I will. I don't make a ton of money because I have a full time job, but enouph to pay for the virtual plan. This problem will require a substantial cash investment to resolve and given the economic realities of 2009, the company just doesn?t have the ability to invest the cash to resume business.

Here are several important facts you need to know:

1. ALL WEBMASTERS WILL BE PAID IN FULL FOR EARNINGS WE RECEIVE FOR BOTH REVSHARE AND PPS PROGRAMS.

2. If you are using a house domain and want to continue to use that domain, just submit a ?Pull? request through your registrar and I will approve your request giving you control of the domains.

3. For all direct payment sponsor programs like Platinum Bucks, Top Bucks and Silver Cash, you don?t need to do anything to keep using those programs.

4. For all sponsors paid through RevShare Hosting, you may change the sponsor payment information so that it?s payable to you directly and I will approve these changes.

5. Everyone knows through the numerous newsletters and posted policies the importance and need to manually back up all websites, so you should be able to continue your business at a new host. Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to assist you in downloading content at this time.

Of course, we never want to end a business this way and I apologize for the inconvenience this is causing you. Trust me I would never put you through this kind of situation willingly, but at this point, there is no other choice. All I can do is ask for your forgiveness and understanding.

with all the side comments about RSH business model, I find it interesting that they were getting rebranded / heavily pomoted on GFY around 2 years ago..... because already by then I think that the adult business has had changed a lot compared to the 2002-2003 years

I know I pulled whatever I had when they sold, service became patchy [at least, not solid enough to NOT warrant proper hosting]
