Successful business strategies

I came up with a few driving back from the tire shop this morning, post some of your own

Take excellent care of your client ? with B2B, reputation is everything, make sure every client is happy, listen to them, get ideas from them, respond to them, word of mouth gets you more clients, prevents clients from not using you because they heard bad things. For instance, in hosting, when somebodies looking for a host, you see people recommending mojo, natnet, techie, badmouthing other hosts, etc. 10X more impactful than a gfy banner

Marketing and PR is everything, as much or as valuable as the product and good cost-effective marketers are in very short supply

80%+ of the population doesn?t understand how to effectively manage a business, thus its not as important to be first to market with a business idea, so if a few businesses enter a market around the same time, if you can exploit every opportunity, mitigate the risks, the clients will migrate to their best option, who works for them, who is in front of them when they are trying to make the decision, etc.

thanks luke, appreciate the comment

i remember a really strong point shap made some time ago that, at least in this industry, you dont see businesses that have not started from scratch in some form. you cant think of many that had spent a lot of money, burst into this biz, and had successfully and solvently continued.

its seems you have to know and understand your market with nothing or pennies before you can figure out how to effectively spend dollars.

nearly nobody else will do a job the same way that you would do it, you can't outsource everything
