Chavez advises Obama on Socialist revolution

Quote:

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez comments on U.S. President Barack Obama and the state of the U.S. economy. He made the remarks today on Venezuelan state television.
?It?s regrettable the crisis that the U.S. is living through. Millions of workers are being left in the street, thousands of companies are closing, in the U.S. there isn?t a single new infrastructure project.
Go look for a highway there, the country has gone bust.?
?Now President Obama arrived with some announcements, hopefully, but the capitalist model and its perverse values have failed.?
?I recommend to Obama -- they?re criticizing him because they say he?s moving towards socialism -- come Obama, ally with us on the path to socialism, it?s the only road.?
?Imagine a socialist revolution in the U.S. Nothing is impossible.?

In terms of not being in debt, they are doing great. They have oil and are rolling in money.

Though if you guys will remember when Chavez started to nationalize everything, he was a monster in the eyes of the US government. He became an evil dictator. Well, well, well, look at us now.

Looks like he may have been on the right path after all.

I hate socialism, personally I dont have an opinion either way about Chavez. Surely you can bring a better argument to the table than a simple statement like that?

Not tonight... too drunk...

uno 03-07-2009 12:05 AM

So now Chavez is an Obama adviser because he made a statement in some of his ramblings on tv?

He offered Obama advice thus he "advises" Obama. Not sure what part of that you don't understand? Let me repeat... Chavez told Obama to start a socialist revolution, now if Obama does not respond, what are Americans supposed to think?

What an economic paradise Venezuela turned out under Chavez. (roll eyes)

Sad to say, the "Soak the rich/Power to the People" clown show has powerful international appeal. That's what fucked Argentina (formerly one of the world's riches countries) under Peron and the Philippines starting with President Garcia. Populism doesn't do DICK. There is no such thing as a free lunch.

Martin 03-07-2009 10:08 AM

Hey Splum, do some research on AGENDA 21.

That Obama ignores the ramblings of a madman when possible, because he's got better things to do than waste his time on Chavez?

Phoenix 03-07-2009 10:21 AM

The sad news is if he fails the blacks will never get another chance for years and politically get hit the hardest because Obama will be labeled a shit talker.

If he does well all white people will have left is golf, tennis... oh wait... ice hockey is about it.

Response: Stop flirting with me, Im not that type of guy. :thumbsup

See how simple that was? Now if only Obama would respond to Chavez, but he wont, because Chavez knows Obama IS a socialist at heart.

Wow, proof positive that Directfiesta has splum's ear and does in fact act as his adviser.

Obama has no obligation to respond to Chavez' rant which he does on a fairly frequent basis. Just providing "advice" does not necessarily make you an adviser, especially with the way you are attempting to use the word in context.

I cant recall Chavez ever suggesting to Bush to promote socialist revolution.

Socialism destroys individual freedoms at the expense of providing for individuals.
Communism destroys individual freedoms at the expense of providing for groups of indviduals.
Capitalism enables individual freedoms at the expense of destroying the weak.

Which one do you think more closely resembles what you want from your personal life?

Chavez has things so under control that 80% or more of his country live in poverty.

Venezuela GDP Growth Rate chart, historical data, forecast and news. Venezuela is the fifth largest national economy in Latin America. In 2007, Venezuela?s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) measured on purchasing power parity basis was estimated at $335 billion, according to the International Monetary Fund. The country is currently classified as an Upper-Middle Income economy by the World Bank, with $ 8,282 GDP per capita.

Biggy 03-07-2009 12:49 PM

You guys talk as if Chavez is a legitimate leader or his political system is a real thing :1orglaugh

There's no way anyone with a sane head would EVER take him seriously, nor are we anywhere near the same situation as them. The guy is the ultimate piece of shit, his idea of nationalization isn't forced due to national crisis... Journalism like this he loves, it takes away the attention from what a piece of shit he is - like rigging elections for term limits, and taking over anyone's business at will by threat and use of violence. Instead of focusing on his remarks, you should focus on how we need to stage a coup over there and have him removed. He's been doing it for years, by talking shit about George W, the press would rather report on that then some of his own heinous crimes.
