The scrubbing seems to be higher with them lately, is anyone else noticing this?

EscortBiz 11-20-2002 08:45 AM

Cindyff 11-20-2002 10:59 AM

i'm glad you noticed it too! We're getting emails from surfers who can't join in much higher rate than normal :( and it pissed me off!!

Martin 11-20-2002 11:06 AM

Yeah I thought things were a bit slow that last 2 weeks too! Glad I'm not the only one..

YDG 11-20-2002 11:37 AM

Us too. Big change at the start of Novemember. We contacted them but Epoch says nothing has changed. This has been bugging me all month, glad its not only me.

Now I need a US processor who does not scrub. Who ? Who ?

Yeah and I need a double blow job from Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez.

And I have better odds of getting what I "need" than you do :1orglaugh

How can you tell that they are scrubbing harder?
I see nothing in their stats that would tell me the number of declines

First of all no scrub by an IPSP = out of business in 3 months:)

Secondly, I am looking at your sales YDG since the first of October and you had your highest processing day since that time on Nov. 15 and all subsequent days have been consistent with your normal new sales volume since Oct. 1 if not higher, so I am no quite sure why you are complaining that we have increased our scrub..

You have to scrub to stay in business. There are certain cards which carry a much higher risk of chargeback than others, therefore you set your risk parameters and scrub based on your risk analysis of the transaction.

It's not about losing money, it's about being able to stay within card association guidelines in terms of credits and chargebacks and thus stay in business for the long term.

Also I forgot to mention in my last post, if you have an email from a cardholder who cannot join you can forward me the email and I will tell you why they were declined. I will be in Las Vegas Thursday and Friday, so don't expect emails back on those days.

It depends on the cardholder, but once a card is deemed fraudulent it probably won't process again.

Good time to get MPA2 software that cascades the surfers straight onto your 2nd and then 3rd backup cc processor.

Not spam, i've just purchased it and it sure looks damn good.

nobody likes declines, but chargebacks are a hell of a lot worse. We pay 15-20 per for ezclicks btw :) if you're using epoch and not doing ezclick you're leaving way too much money on the table.

magnatique 11-22-2002 12:29 AM

epoch has been A1 with us with info on why people got declined... I always get the people an answer from epoch... keeps them happy ;)

garry 12-02-2002 04:57 AM

Sambuka thanks for the good word :)

And yeah the scrubbing is taking away aprox 40% of your signups. Many of them would be chargebacks, but then again many of them would be extra money in your bank to!
All our mpa2 clients have got at least 20% more signups now because of our cascading. That is 20% more money in your pocket !

And not to mention all the other great features the mpa2 program have :o)

Theo 12-02-2002 05:08 AM

i had my card declined by 2000charge few hours ago, although in the past i didnt have any problem with 'em.

Sambuka 12-02-2002 05:37 AM

Well I think Epoch have upped there scrub rates and Ibill too, I can't signup to epoch or Ibill anymore and i'm in Australia with a Business Gold Card and its declining it. Not saying thats 100% proof but I was signing up under both Ibill and epoch 2 months ago no worries.

It was interesting, I was signing up to deluxepass and Epoch declined my card, then Ibill and then CCbill processed my card as normal, it was using the MPA2 software, but I think cause CCbill have less chargebacks cause they don't allow free trials etc they don't have to do as much scubbing, I think i'll put CCbill as my 2nd processor for this reason. I'm sure if epoch / Ibill are declining my card there declining a lot more also.

Hustlin Entertainment 12-02-2002 05:54 AM

i got listed on several tgp's with good traffic the right sponsor the right links but no sales with epoch...

epitome of scrub

garry 12-02-2002 08:13 AM

Sambuka

Im glad to hear the mpa2 program works :)

Its not that one of them are scrubbing more or less then the other. its because they all have different rules for the scrubbing. And since the mpa2 program tries the customer credit card on all 3 processors its a bigger chance that one of the processors will accept the card. Thats why this program is so DAMN good :o)

the indigo 12-02-2002 09:01 AM

Yeah but completely useless for anyone who can't process with Epoch, iBill or CCBill :(

As soon as it supports some International processors (ACPay, Probilling, Netbilling, Globill...) I will be glad to pay $350 per month for it.

garry 12-02-2002 09:35 PM

We can add in any processor you like. NEtbilling will be added end of this week. And if you have other processors you want to have added we can do that as well.

Just contact us and we make you happy :)
