Go buy a Nissan, A huge fuckin thanks to Nissan!!!

Tranny went out two months after the warranty, only 80,000 miles, $28,000 car when I bought it, called corporate and it took two weeks but today they informed me it was being fixed for free. Would have cost me $5,500 to fix. Why buy another car when i know Nissan will take such good care of me? :thumbsup

Iron Fist 03-06-2009 12:48 AM

Customer Loyalty sometimes might be worth that much.

bobby666 03-06-2009 12:54 AM

would never ride a tranny

0-60mph in 3.2 seconds
1/4 mile in 11.4 seconds

Smoking pretty much every other super car on the planet for under $75,000?

Priceless.

Fuck yeah buy a nissan.

Just Mike 03-06-2009 01:18 AM

lucky!!!!

i had the same problem with Porsche...1 month after warranty and i was basically told tough shit...thats why warranties have expiration dates.

I replied....thats why customer have a choice...Iwill NEVER buy a porsche again.

3 years later I bought Another one....so much for that.

Rochard 03-06-2009 01:18 AM

How funny.

While everyone bitches about American cars and their poor quality, you have a jap car that needed $5k of work done two months after the warranty ended - and yet your still praising them.

My fucking American car is now five years old and the warranty is over. And it runs fine.

dig420 03-06-2009 01:28 AM

I had a Maxima for years, loved that car... now I have an SL500 and Mercedes is a total prick about everything.

Danny B 03-06-2009 01:40 AM

Sooooooooooooooo sexy!

Nissan is a good company for client care ..

When I had my Pathfinder, There was a call back on the catalytic converter, it over heated, I had missed this .. 6 years down the line the catalytic burns a hole thru my floor. I went to the dealer whom just blew me away but when I called customer care they had me back at the dealer within the hour, my truck was ready the very next day, sans charge

LiveDose 03-06-2009 08:11 AM

Nissan 240sx was my first car. I wish I had stored it away and turned it into a drifting beast. I am thinking about picking up the GT-R pending availability.

I also have an American SUV in my driveway. Have for years and always will.

This is a sick machine: http://www.gtrnissan.com/

I drove one around Japan back in the 90's, called a Skyline over there and it is pure driving fun.

UniqueD 03-06-2009 08:15 AM

i drive a pathfinder, and my girlfriend a maxima. Things go forever.

Even though Im in a patriotic mood and tell everyone to buy American, I have owned two Pathfinders '97 XE and '00 LE - both awesome vehicles that never had a single problem. Nissan does make great vehicles. Not sure how much truth there is to this, but I heard Nissan was considering buying the Jeep brand from ailing Chrysler. Wouldn't that be something...a nissan wranger!

Magnus 03-06-2009 08:23 AM

I have had a 4 Nissans since 1999 never had a issue with any of them.

Kron 03-06-2009 08:57 AM

God, that car is such a beast.

camperjohn64 03-06-2009 09:16 AM

AWESOME.

I had the same thing happen to me on my Lincoln (tranny went out 2 months out of warranty), but they gave the big finger and even told me I could rent a car to drive myself home instead of a courtesy ride from the dealership.

www.neverbuyalincoln.com

Hey wtfent, could you post this story about your Nissan on www.neverbuyalincoln.com for me?

Never buy a lincoln, and definately never buy a lincoln from Witt Lincoln Mercury.

bloggingseo 03-06-2009 09:19 AM

Wow you don't hear about that type of stuff happening very often!

In the past ten years I've owned seven Mustangs, A Taurus, an Escape, and a Explorer. In ten years I've owned ten Ford products and I've had problem on my 2004 Mustang Cobra - the cable to the alternator failed. Even though I purchased this car used it was under warranty, I got the free tune up on my car (20k check up, oil change, etc) and the car was returned to me washed the same day.

People bitch about "American cars" and their quality, and I just don't see where the problem is.

My Father was Japanese and he always bought American cars as soon as he was in the states. This started in the 60's and he showed me pictures of sick Cameros, a Chevelle, a Pontiac GTO that he owned. In the 70's and 80's with a family it became the Vega, the Impala, the Celebrity, the Caprice etc. Remember these things were pure shit in the 80's but he continued to buy them as he wanted to support this country. This is also when the car ceo's and union workers were acting like complete clueless idiots. I never understood why he bought these junky cars but I do now.

I don't think these companies were ever able to completely shake their arrogance and sloppy products of the 80's. This reputation has continued to haunt American car companies for decades. The cars may be better now but people still remember the past...

seeandsee 03-06-2009 10:06 AM

American made cars in the 1970s and 1980s were by far the worst produced cars in the world. They were ugly, huge, and their quality sucked donkey balls. I can't argue on that point!

UFGators2007 03-06-2009 10:43 AM

Very cool.

undersoul 03-06-2009 10:45 AM

honda and nissan are pretty rock solid. some of the newer GM models have been pretty damn good too. shame they may not get to keep it going

A lot of the foreign cars are more American than many American cars when you factor in where the parts are manufactured and where the cars are assembled.

C-Bass 03-06-2009 11:11 AM

Friend got a brand new silverado - pimped out to the max, first one in Ontario with the Z71 engine.

40,000 clicks later, the charging system went. They fixed it. Went again. Fixed it again......waiting for it to go again.

Fuck GM, Ford and DMChrysler - they havent caught up by now, they can sink and go under.

C-Luv 03-06-2009 11:12 AM
