Anyone else into racing games?

I got NASCAR Thunder 2003 and was impressed with all but one very major feature...

NO SAVE RACE?! Just like the latest Papyrus product. WTF is that. They claim it's not realistic to save a race in progress but they put an auto pit or damage off feature in there! What a load of lazyass shit! Who has 4 hours to sit and run a full race? Some of us WORK or maybe waste time on GFY. =]

X-Box Project Gotham racing kicks ass.. Not enough damage effects for my liking, but that is the only big flaw I have seen.

Dude, you're not alone. We should start a support group. All people keep saying is how awesome Project Gotham is but I think it sucks nuts. The manager at Dave and Buster's keeps trying to get me to get an X-Box with my points by telling me how awesome Project Gotham is. He just doesn't seem to be able to accept the fact that I think it sucks. My buddy has it and it has long load times (even just displaying the car's picture takes like 5 seconds), a not too great selection of cars and lousy handling (in my opinion). I just didn't think it was fun at all.

Plus, the X-Box controller is as big as an original fucking Nintendo console.

I love racing games, and yeah, that is bullshit to not have a save. Maybe they think you'll keep reloading the game. They should only allow you ro reload a saved game once, and then its gone, and that would eliminate that problem.

Racing games are by far my favorite type. I'm not really too much of a car type guy but I totally dig racing games. Got my steering wheel, pedals, etc. hooked up to the PC, sub rumbling, etc. Get me a beer, and I'm ready to go.

I am.

Gran Turismos all kicked ass.

NFSHP2 kicks ass. Best GFX of any racer yet. I heard the Xbox looks just like the PC too.

Project Gotham I am stuck on. How the fuck do you get 900 Kudos???

Sega GT 2002 kicks ass. Amazing GFX for the Xbox.
