Switching from Paintshop to Photoshop
Ok for years I've used Paintshop as I find it much easier to use than Photoshop and just as powerful.
From what I understand is the main reason Photoshop is industry leader is purely because it was originally developed for Mac users and Mac's are standard in design, where as Paintshop is PC only. One thing that I don't like about Photoshop apart from it hogs resources is zooming in and out. On Paintshop I just use the mouse scroll wheel as standard. Is it possible to set this up on Photoshop? If so how? Thanks! |

Thanks, I knew it would/should be something simple but couldn't find it.
That was one of the biggest things that put me off Photoshop. I only do this stuff as a hobby and am self taught + I don't know anyone else personally that's into this stuff so sometimes finding basic stuff out like that is difficult. Thanks again! |
Photoshop CS4 has a lot of cool new features that Paintshop can't even compare too. You should make the switch!

I use mainly photoshop for all graphic design tasks, simply because it was the first program I was introduced to when I got one of my first computer jobs. The new versions are much more pleasant to use than the first ones. It's worth making the switch.
