Ok,I'm gonna start some forex trading

Been looking around for a while at babypips and some other places and decided to just open a small real account at $1000. I know most say that opening small accounts like that is bad but It's money I feel comfortable to lose and I want to get my feet wet.

Any pointers and good websites I should check out?

What is the best place to open a "micro" account like I want to do?

polish_aristocrat 03-02-2009 04:49 PM

small account = big mistake

I'm using FXCM Micro:
http://www.forexmicrolot.com/

With this company you also get access to http://www.dailyfx.com/ - which gives some decent trading signals and suggested trades.

Make sure you know how to read charts, the elliot wave theory, support and resistance levels, stop loss and limits, etc. Study individual currency movements to find out which way a pair will move, etc. Start small, make sure you have a large enough amount of money in your account, because a small move can easily erase your margin and kill your account.

To be honest, its hard as fuck! Charts make tons of unexpected moves. Once you spot a trend, by the time you jump in, it will usually start heading the opposite direction. Don't chase losses.

Well, you are obvisouly gambling...

If you are looking for another business like Forex is because you have seen other webmasters talking about it and you are trying to recover the income you were doing back in 2004 in adult alone.

Anyway, you need a lot of training to trade in FOREX, what is your curriculum? Which books did you read?

Even marketsmart lose money in FOREX.

Have you seen a guy called "Stern-Capital" here in GFY???

Well.. Look for Stern-Capital thread at FF forum... He makes questions asking about what system he can use, LOL... :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

You'll do better promoting one of the sites that tries to convince people they can make big money from forex. Profit from marks' losses, don't become one.

Point taken. I'm gonna "gamble" with a small account anyway. Haven't read any books yet just online tutorials like babypips along with doing some demo trading which has worked decent.

StaceyJo 03-02-2009 07:58 PM

Good luck with that.

Don't get involved in this bear market. Put that money into a CD.

"In this" ?

You mean "in that"... unless you are involved too. :2 cents:

I'm using IBFX which is an ECN/NDD
There is no reason to risk any money, with demo accounts its as close to live trading as it gets. I tend to take much less risk in a live trade.

I know you want to get your feet wet but trade the demo account for at least 3 months.

In addition to babypips, forex-tsd.com is great forum to get ideas, EA's, indicators etc. and of course MT4 is the platform to use.

Also SRDC I

Another system is Woodie's CCI also http://www.woodiescciclub.com/start.htm
