If the Players Ball sucked so bad, why does it get international press and the biggest write up in AVN, everytime? What more could a person ask of a party? Legendary artists performing, pornstars and peers in this biz. Maybe I should just throw parties with no entertainment and free booze, like all of the other parties.

I've been to I think every one but the first one. And had a great time at all of them. Of course it, like any other party or event, is all about what you make of it, no more and no less.

I've always been IMPRESSED with the top of the line showbands at the Players Ball. I usually stick my nose in, but big loud parties arn't my scene. I hate not being able to talk to someone due to loud music. Some people love that though, and it is cool to see all the people in the pimped out costumes.
(actually I don't think it's a costume on some of the people there)

The thing about the Player's ball is saying you were there - even it was just for 20 mins before the headache begins and my balls start sweating through my underwear.

Never been, although I did approach D$ about some sponsorship and he is a great PR person. It is an "event" so I think sponsoring brings alot of exposure.

I listen a lot of rap/hiphop music and the Players Ball is legendary... I even saw it on TV a couple times. It's probably not everyones favorite party, but Players Ball is the only party I'd ever heard of before I even started in this business, which says quite a bit I think... :2 cents:

Fuck the Blue Man Group.. "O" is the shit. Best show I've ever seen, anywhere. If you are in Vegas, see it. Its worth the $100 ticked price.

I totally disagree. "o" always seems to be a hit with the ladies but for shear enjoyment the blue man group is the best show I've ever been to.

I'm surprised. The sheer amount of talent... artistic, musical, athletic, engineering and organizational.. it takes to pull off something like "O" puts it head & shoulders above anything I've ever seen before.

Some of it is quite avant garde and disturbing in a weird, theater kinda way, so I guess you have to be into that stuff to really enjoy all of it.

I had to see it a couple of times to take it all in. To each his own :thumbsup

Wow, that's cool! Man, it's weird that an industry party gets mainstream exposure. People think I'm a PR guru because of it, but I swear, I never did one press release to the media. I guess the combination of porn, great artists performing and it being private makes people want to learn more. Thanks for the props though Netbabe. ;)

Sleazybear, I didn't mean it literally. LOL I meant like most parties. However, it seems like parties are more entertaining these days then back in the day. Back in the day, with exception to a few parties, most were just free drinks and snacks. Man, I think everyone who entertains webmasters should be applauded. It's costly, generous and takes time to prepare in most cases. I should give a Woody Award to everyone who threw a party at the show, they can all accept it together. Then we can slick that wooden cock into pieces so they can all take a piece home. Someone can get just the head or a nut. Hmmmmm

I liked BMG, and its definitely worth seeing.. I just think "O" is miles above everything else.

My first show was last year and I went to the Player's Ball. Thought it rocked bigtime but it was jam packed. Great tunes and tons of shit happening. I will be going this year because let's face it, it's THE party to hit.

My first Players Ball will be this year. I am so ready...in full Ho gear tagging along with the HeadPimp.

I come here near the Players Ball to get input and advice from this industry. When I give awards away, it's nice to say I really took advice from my peers, which is what I'm doing. I started posting beyond that because I free'd up my time to be more social. I like this board, always have. I wish I could post here more. Thanks for the warm welcome back.

I agree... especially all the stuff they did with the water moving to different depths and in different pieces... impressive. Plus there was always that danger element in the high-altitude acrobatics... Sleazydream bought me two tickets :thumbsup That's the most visually entertaining live performance I've ever seen outside of my bedroom.

out 10 minutes later again......I just walk in to check and get
confirmed that it's exactly that again what I was already expecting.
