It's fucking Lexuses, Mersedeces and such, pimps of all kinds wearin brands and chicks in prada and heels all day long... but when it comes to social security here what it looks like:

social security comes from taxes. When average payroll is $300/m what can you expect? Modern medical technology costs like a row of Maybachs, but with lack of funding it will never be there..

It looks like a typical state run place. Shit seating, shit care and cleanliness, but you know that the admin of the hospital is banking and so is his boss.

I have actually spent time in an Eastern european hospital, during the socialist period, and the care was good, the doctors well trained and the drugs produced without profit.

When visiting the States have to take out medical insurance for $3000000 at least.

Anyone who has a National Health Service never wants private health care.

Actually if you don't have money in the USA you are sent to a county hospital. In the US no one is allowed to just die in the street due to lack of money or insurance. Sorry, total fallacy.

And if National Health is so great, I have two questions for you... Why do so many Canadians come to the US, saying that they have to wait too long for care in Canada, and why do 1 out of 4 cancer patients in the UK wait so long for treatment to start, that they go from stage 1 to stage 4, resulting in cancer survival rates being much lower in the UK than the US???

It doesn't look unclean, just kind of run down. I wouldn't even necessarily think the care was that bad, it's just that when funds are tight, hospitals prioritize. i.e. Maybe you don't get the comfy leather couches or whatever.

I saw some in Poland, looked much better. There is not about afford/not afford, private clinics mostly work as a lobby for minor healing and if there is a need for serious treatment they still would pass you to a government one just from th back entrance. Not every filed of healthcare is allowed to be taken care of by private clinics overhere.

Looks like the hospitals here in Latvia. I have seen worse in NYC.

2 weeks ago i had to fly to Ukraine to visit my grandfather who was hospitalized...
i'm still under huge impression :(

first of all, the hospital looked way better than this one on the picture.
it was a brand new building, looking very mordern inside & outside
(though it's just a free public hospital in a small town with approx. 50k people)

my grandfather is a ww2 veteran and they have very comfortable
private & semi-private hospital rooms for veterans

but other than that there is nothing else good I can say about Ukranian medicine.

1) staying at the hospital is free (or almost free) but you need to pay for medication
(and with an average salary of $200-300 it's a problem for most of people)

2) equipment is terribly outdated. wish they invested the money in the equipment not the building,
would be much more useful.

3) the doctors are the WORST of the worst and this refers not only to this particular hospital
but to other hospitals too. Finding a good specialist is a pain in the ass
and usually even a good specialist is years behind the technology

i even don't know what's easier - survive in a typical Ukranian hospital or survive
in the street

Saying being a EU is not changing things for Polish people? btw, i saw couple medical institutions in Krakow, we wanted to give a birth to our child overthere, and it looked very good.
