i'm just watching 28 days later and fucking love the zombies in this film, so fast and frantic.

what film do you think has the best zombies?

Best zombies were in 2004's remake of Dawn of the Dead.
The 28 days and 28 weeks later zombies also kick some major ass though.

I think it really breaks into two sub-genres: the slow zombie versus the fast zombie. 28 Days Later and its sequel worked because it was a case of "quasi-zombies"...the actual undead (when reanimated by a virus or something rather than necromancy) seem weird when they run like a track star because they should be decomposing and basically falling apart.


Went way too into it and feel like a total fan boy...

"The Beyond" is probably my favorite. Get the 1998 DVD version if you're going to watch it, as it has a bunch of bonus material and has been remastered, etc.

The ending, particularly, is KILLER.

Either way, fast or slow... they are always coming, in great numbers, and will not stop pursuing you.

28 Days Later was a nice movie. No doubt.

Zombies ... really? I guess in the modern world it would be "I am Legend". 28 days was not a zombie movie at all. I'm still a huge fan of Night of the Living Dead (original), and Return of the Living Dead. Also loved Evil Dead ... but thats more demonic possession.

Loved 28 days later, found 28 weeks later um....weak! But they both had kickass zombies.

In my opinion 'Dawn of the dead' is the best zombie movie
